What is going on in Cleveland along the river?

I just saw a satellite photo of downtown Cleveland and it looks like the Flats area along the river has been demolished. I used to party there years ago. Has it all been torn down, whats going on?What is going on in Cleveland along the river?
The entertainment and nightlife has subsided in the Flats big time, although a few places like Shooters remain strong.

The party scene is all right downtown on streets like W.6th with high end restaurants and dance clubs, and E.4th with the House of Blues, an upscale comedy venue and a trendy bowling alley. A lot more people are moving downtown above these restaurants and bars in buildings converted to loft apartmentes and condominiums.

Because there is a such a strong and growing interest in living downtown Cleveland, the powers that be have decided the Flats should also incoporate housing to create a more sustainable neighborhood. The Stonebridge Condominiums on the west bank of the Flats are built along the old Superior Viaduct, and these are so popular that they keep adding new phases. People really like living there because of the location, modern design, river, and skyline views.

The east bank of the Flats has been demolished to make way for a new mixed-use development something like Crocker Park, which was built in Westlake a few years ago. I think they're planning something like 400 residential units, but I forget the exact number.

Cleveland is the most low income city in the nation and I hope our new Gov. can change thatWhat is going on in Cleveland along the river?
Well, the Flats became a ridiculous slum with shabby clubs and underagers drunkenly roaming everywhere on the weekends, so I think they finally decided to do something about it. I read an article recently about how some people were wanting to completely revitalize the Flats, once again making it an area that people really want to go to. If that picture is true, then maybe they started on that project!
They are trying to turn the flats into a residential area. There are still some night clubs down there. But they trying to turn all of down town into more residential friendly area, they are hoping that young professionals will move in and rejuvenate the city.
