Why are the TBS commentators for the Indians Yankees games SO negative towards Cleveland?

I am watching the ALDS game 2 between yanks and Cleveland, and every chance they can they are bringing up a negative stat on Cleveland or bashing Carmona (who pitched wonderfully in game two, going all 9 innings.) and yet every time they talked about the Yankees they could do nothing but sing their praises. They must have forgotten who won game 1 3-12.

Are the commentators for TBS the normal Yankee guys? Why are the TBS commentators for the Indians Yankees games SO negative towards Cleveland?
that is the worst announcing ever, but it's Ted Turner's network when has he ever been known for being fair.

Bob probably is a horrible announcer he was talking about Travis not making it home on Thursday because accordiong to him he is "slow" yet he made it in the next hit. They still called him slow the next day, and basically he called every Indian batter "slow" Bob Brenly was wrong about 80% of the time he spoke, and obviously didn't research any of the Indians players at all.
Because they think that the Indians can't beat the Yankees they are so wrong, because the Indians will win Tomorrow and go to the ALCS, and Leave the Yankees to fend for them selves. Why are the TBS commentators for the Indians Yankees games SO negative towards Cleveland?
That group of broadcasters is the most biased bunch i have ever had the displeasure of watching, Time after time they would praise the yankees, and find evrey opportunity to downgrade cleveland. I have to admit though, i expected nothing less, as im sure most people expected new york to beat the indians.
$10 says the most of the people who answer this use the term "east coast bias"
I have noticed the same thing, and apparently so have many other people. Some of the media are so blind that they would still trump up the Yankees even if they were a 100-loss team.

At least we only need Cleveland to win one more to be done with it, at least for this year.
the yankees are overrated and the indians are underrated. its a fact that they are yankee fans. i also think that they shouldnt do that. the indians are obviously better than the yankees.
Is everyone serious? I looked up bias and tbs and was directed here because the commentators were so incredibly biased towards the Yankees. They weren't bashing Carmona, if they bring up one factual stat then that's it- no matter how well he pitched. Whenever the Indians got on base they sounded off in praise. The few Yankees hits were received like mistakes. Example: When Melky hit the homerun in game 2, the commentators responded as if was a foul ball. Terrible broadcasters..
They are just your normal Yankee-biased announcers.
I didn't hear them bashing Carmona, all the things they said bout him were positive. I don't know what you're talking about.
Agreed. The bias towards the Yankees was clear. It was equally clear in the national press when reporting how the "bugs" were all over the Yankees making it difficult for them to concentrate. From what I saw the bugs were equally swarming over the Indians but little to no mention was made of that in the stories that followed.
It didnt stop there either. All ESPN talked about was how the bugs effected Joba, well didnt they effect the batters too. And the Indians pitcher of course they did, but all we heard about was poor Joba and these little bugs caused him wild pitches.

And peple wonder why people hate the Yankees so much. The fact is Cleveland is just playing better baseball.
Just mute your TV's, turn on 1100 AM, and listen to Tom Hamilton. That's what I do.
I AGREE!!! last night when i was watching it i pointed out that the commentators were very pro-yankee it was bugging me too.....also they must've said like 5 times in the last 3 innings that the yankees are the last team to come back and win down 2-0 in a series
