Big Ben just got sent to Cleveland in a trade involving three trades. Do you think that the Cavs can get back to the finals or do you the Detroit or Boston can beat them? And do you think Ben Wallace will improve on his offense and defense? If so, why? Plus, I think the Cavs need a point guard so Ben can get the ball more, but LeBron is there so maybe he will feed some alley oops or make good passes. What do you think of Ben Wallace being sent to Cleveland?
Ben wallace pretty much ruined his career leaving detroit
if he was still with the Pistons, I'd say that they'd have AT LEAST another championship by now
Really i am clueless... and speech less... who knows....What do you think of Ben Wallace being sent to Cleveland?
They don't want Ben to get the ball. he can't shoot and he has no post moves. I don't understand this trade at all. It made them a worse team by far. They won't even make the playoffs now.
I dont think the Cavs will get to the finals with detroit and boston being tough, but this trade is good for the cavs. I feel that Ben wallace will somehow be resurrected in Cleveland, and Lebron now has a true point guard in Delonte West. Delonte isnt an allstar, but he is a solid point and can control the floor. Now Lebron has Delonte, Daniel Gibson (2 decent scorers + perimeter shooting that they didnt have), with Ilgauskas and Big Bens rebounding skills. Larry hughes was a huge dissapointment, so thats not a big loss. they also lost Drew Gooden, but they still have varejao. So with Delonte West,Gibson,Lebron,Varejao,Ilgauskas, and Ben they have a solid team. Either way, they are not getting to the finals, but it damn sure is a good start.
I don't think it will help them much.
I htink they will get back to the finals due to the lack of bench from detroit and boston. I htink playing with LeBron makes your o better and ben has always been able to play d. Daniel Gibson is there point guard. He is very good and knows his role.
The Championship drought in CLeveland will continue. Big Ben is no help because A) he's going downhill at about the same rate as Shaq and B) he doesn't have Larry Brown as his head coach maximizing his strengths. Take that and think that somehow Wally Szczerbiak will help Lebron lead Cleveland to the promised land? This is simply a case of making a move just to make a move if you ask me. I do agree however that the Gasol trade put the entire league on notice and it forced teams to make very questionable moves (outside of SA) afterwards
As a Celts fan I can tell you Delonte West is a player. Ben getting the boards, Z scoring in the paint, Delonte playing tenacious D and James doing his thing... Cavs just got a LOT better. Add them to the Celts Detroit talk for coming out of the east.
LeBron is a ESPN media darling prop up to be the "Great One" ever since they started their media campaign since his high school day, and 5 year into the league and he still hasn't won "The Big One"; indeed in got sweep in his only appearance
But the truly "Great One" Lew Alcindor when he left high school turn the UCLA Bruins into the greatest college basketball program in the history of NCAA! Then went to the NBA and immediately won the "Big One" with Milwaukee Bucks and later with the Lakers
Another truly "Great One" Magic Johnson left high school and took the Michigan St to NCAA glory then as a rookie led the Lakers to "The Big One" and you know what he did with the "Dream Team"
While the "Chosen One" Lebron lost in High School championship (remember the Carmelo Anthony game?) lost in the Olympic with the fake "Dream Team" even though he had people like Allen Iverson, Tim Ducan ...yet he still lack the leadership to lead to a championship.
of course! james took the cavs to the ship last years with soft illgalskys. now with the great defending wallace there odds are looking better than ever
Ben Wallace, Joe Smith, Wally Szcerbiak are better than Marshall and Hughes but this is just baby steps the team is making. Ben's afro samurai powers will get rebounds and blocks and Wally will shoot 3's all day but its going to take more than that to beat DETROIT BASKETBALLLLLLLL!
Bad trade. They don't need another defensive only player. They needed a dependable #2 scoring option. Wallly is a jump shooter, they need a person that can create his own shots and put up 20 ppg on a consistant basis. NONE of the players the Cavs received can do that. Detroit, Boston, and Orlando are still much better than the Cavs.
Not going to help. Wallace makes them better defensively in the short run,l but does anybody really believe they are better than detroit or boston? Wally gives them a good shooter, but they tried that already with damon jones and that backfired. I think Cleveland made a rash descision thinking these moves would help LeBron stay in Cleveland once his contract is up. Honestly, i think he'll go elsewhere, where the supporting cast is not old and injury prone.
i like it :) let's juss wait tell they everybody gets back from being injured %26amp; see how they play together :D
