I am planning on taking a trip to Cleveland, OH this summer. I've been to Cleveland before but I am not really sure what to do. I know there's the Art Museum, Great Lakes Science Center, Rock Hall of Fame, Tower City. I do not plan on going to any Indians game. Out of those 4 places, which would you prefer to do on a Saturday in Cleveland?Which would you prefer to do on a Saturday in Cleveland, OH?
Of the four listed, I would choose the Great Lakes Science Center. I was just there in April.
In my opinion, Tower City is not that great.
Even though, you asked us to choose from the four choices above, I agree with the people who suggested the Metroparks or the Cleveland Zoo and Rainforest. I visit them many times a summer. Also, check out http://www.positivelycleveland.com/visit鈥?/a> They have a calendar of Events that lists the different festivals going on all summer. The festivals in the Cleveland area are great. Have a nice trip!
The Great Lakes Science center is great. The IMAX Theatre and the different exhibits will take up alot of the day. I am 26 years old and loved it. The Rock and Roll Hall was quite boring to me. Unless you really love R%26amp;R Music, dont waste your money on that. Tower City is not what it used to be. It is a glorified mall and if you go at the wrong time (evenings and weekends) it is over-run with rowdy kids and police and is not enjoyable at all. You would be better off walking around Legacy Village and Beachwood Place ( in Beachwood OH, not far from downtown). Those are great places to do your shopping. Upscale and nice places to eat and windo-shop. The Art Museum is in an area with a lot of museums and culture, History, Auto, etc. Nice place to spend a Saturday as well, just walking around the University Circle area.Which would you prefer to do on a Saturday in Cleveland, OH?
Tower City isn't all that neither is the Rock Hall, (unless you're into that kind of music than I say go there). But your question is which would you prefer, so I would prefer the Art Museum even though it is under construction, there is the Natural History Museum and the Western Reserve Historical Center as well as the Botanical Gardens all within walking distance. So I say Art Museum its in one of the prettiest parts of the city and there is a lot to do close by like Little Italy or Coventry.
I'd personally like to go to the Cleveland Art Museum, but it's closed for renovation until 2011; there are only a couple exhibits open at a time until then--not worth visiting during a vacation. So, I say go to Tower City during the day. Eat at the Hard Rock and do some shopping there. Then, go to West 6th Street to party at night. There is a long strip of sweet night clubs there. Whatever you decide, have fun!!!
Depending on your age, you may want to check out the W 6th/ W 4th area. There is a comedy club that I love, Hilarities at Pickwick %26amp; Frolic. At the end of that same block is a bar/ bowling called Corner Alley. Tons of fun
Cleveland also has a theater district. You can check Playhouse Square to see what's playing.
House of Blues is also a great place. I love the Rock Hall, but I'm really into music.
Have a great trip!
well it really depends on what kind of stuff youre into. if your a music guy, go to the rock hall. theres actually some pretty cool stuff there if you want to take the time to stop and look at all of the exhibits. but if youre not into music, youll find it very boring.
the science center is cool.....if youve got kids. the only good thing about the science center is the omnimax theater. i highly recommend seeing any of the shows there!
the art museum and natural history museum....again, if you have some time to really look around, its cool. otherwise its so boring you could throw up.
tower city......i wouldnt recommend it. youll spend more time trying to get rid of homeless guys asking you for change then you will enjoying the shopping.
if you really wanna have somefun and you got a whole day on your hands, make a special trip to sandusky! cedar point!
so to answer your question....none of the above.
oh ya, the metroparks zoo would be cool too! lots of baby animals this time of year!
ok im done now.
The Rock Hall of Fame is GREAT if you are a music fan. The science center is good too and the Art Museum is always great! Vatican Treasures are there now. Too bad you don't want to see the next World Champs!! Go Tribe :)
I forgot to add the Cleveland Zoo and Rain Forest are really good for a "good weather" day. Cedar Point Amusement Park is in Sandusky about 1 hour away. Puttin Bay has Wineries, take a cruise across the Bay very nice!
About an hour south is Canton and there is the Football Hall of Fame.
Hi! I would defiantly go to the Science Center. I live 20 mins from downtown and we love going there. Someone else mentioned the zoo, that's a great option too and it has the rain forest included in the ticket price. Def worth your money. The science center has a Mars expedition in the Omnimax theater and the special exhibit this month is Chocolate Around the World. I plan on going this week!! Have fun, oh and better bring shorts, a tank top, pants, a long sleeve shirt, an umbrella, flip flops and boots, and a parka, Cleveland weather ya never know lol ;) Enjoy yourself!!
they are all great. and if it is a nice day they should not be to crowed.
If it is a nice day science center and the rock are right on the lake and It would be nice to spend some time outside too.
Have fun/
I've heard the Science Center is great, better than the RR Hall of Fame. Tower City is closeby and nice for shopping, etc. so you could easily fit them both in if you just have a few hours.
go to tower city, its got tons of stores and resturants and you can spend much more time in there than the museums
If you have never been to the Rock Hall before...I recommend that first. If you have time visit the Science Center or Art Museum.
prolly the science center but on a saturday i would rather go to a club, out to eat or somethin
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is great!! Also, check out Tower City!!
