What are some free fun things to do in Cleveland?

My family, (my 4 year old son, my husband, and I) are going to Cleveland Saturday. What are some fun things we can do in the afternoon that are free. We are driving from Columbus. What are some free fun things to do in Cleveland?
Sounds like some good answers already here. You also drive by Ashland and Medina on the way up I-71.

Cleveland has a Children's museum that might be fun. There is also the Lorain County Fair going on in Wellington %26amp; a Classic Car show at Crocker Park in Westlake, on the west side of Cleveland. The Cleveland Museum of Natural History has their Animal Secrets exihibit going on now in University Circle.

Have fun!
Go up town to Tower city. See Lake Erie. The Art museum is great, but a 4 year old wouldn't like it.What are some free fun things to do in Cleveland?
The art museum is closed for remodelling anyway.

Check out the metroparks.

The Bat Gala is free Saturday at 5.

All of the metroparks have nice things to look at for free.

or with a 4 year old, go walk around the coventry neighborhood in cleveland heights - lots of people watching and unusual shops and Stricklands Ice Cream - and there is the very cool coventry playground right across the street, at the coventry school.
drive around... it's fun. Stop at Lake Erie, it's beautiful. Got o the Rock n Roll hall of Fame... Tower city, there's all sorts of stuff to do up there.
There is a Greek Festival going on in Cleveland Heights located at Mayfield and Taylor Roads. That is free. Other than that, unfortunately our Art museum is under construction so the only exhibits open to the public are the ones you pay for. Our Zoo is free on Mondays, wow, I'm sorry I really can't think of anything completely free.
The Lake Erie Science and Nature Center (this is different than the science center in downtown Cleveland) in Bay Village is really nice and free. They have animal displays outside and reptiles inside. The planetarium has programs on Saturday for $2.
