I grew up in Cleveland, but I know that the waterfront is being completely renovated now. If I move back to Cleveland I want to take advantage of the water. I am young, but I will be getting married soon and starting a family so I want a neighborhood with great restaurants, nightlife, low(er) crime, and in a reasonably stable economy. Any suggestions where I should be looking if I want to live on or atleast near the lake?What is the best area along Lake Erie in Cleveland to live in?
if you can afford it, Bratenahl is really nice, there are some older, very big homes right on the water.
I would also suggest Lakewood, but I'm not sure how much of it is as close to the water as you are looking for.
