Has anyone been to the Cleveland Clinic for Leukemia treatment, if so would you recommend?

A family member has had Leukemia for about 1 1/2 years and was told by our local hospital there was nothing more they could do and her chances were slim, but they are referring her to the Cleveland Clinc for possible trials. Just curious about thoughts on the Clinic.Has anyone been to the Cleveland Clinic for Leukemia treatment, if so would you recommend?
The Cleveland Clinic is a well known medical center and does participate in cancer research. However, if you are considering a clinical trial for your family member, you should also consider other medical research centers.

No medical / research center will have access to all the available leukemia clinical trials in an area. Drug companies try to avoid placing too many clinical trials in the same research center because they compete for the same patients.

So, if experimental leukemia drug A has a trial at the Cleveland Clinic, another drug company testing experimental leukemia drug B will try to avoid the Cleveland Clinic to avoid competing for leukemia patient volunteers.

Of course, there will be times when having multiple trials in the same research center is unavoidable.
The Clinic is world-renowned for its treatment of cancers.Has anyone been to the Cleveland Clinic for Leukemia treatment, if so would you recommend?
It's an excellent center. Ohio State is also outstanding in the treatment of leukemias. Those are the 2 best in the state of Ohio.

Good luck.
