We are probably moving to Cleveland to go to Case Western Reserve and are going to buy a house. We would like to be very close to the university, but have a 16-month-old son and our MAIN concern is that the area is a nice place to raise him. How safe are UC and CH, the areas directly bordering Case Western?How safe are University Circle and Cleveland Heights?
I would say go with Cleveland Heights. Just make sure you pick the right area. CH is pretty big. The stretch along Cedar up till a bit past Lee is pretty good. Areas close to East Cleveland get sketchier.

It is a nice area. if I had to pick i would do Cleveland Heights.
both are nice lots of things to do.
