I am considering a move to Cleveland Ohio for a job relocation, but I have never been there so I am not sure what areas are "safe" or "decent". I am young and single but would like to buy a home. Any neighborhood recommendations? If it's any help I'd be working in the 44116 zip code. Driving distance isn't a big issue. What are good neighborhoods to live in the Cleveland, OH area?
ask a cleveland real estate agent. they'll be experts on the best areas to start your search. this directory is really hellpful: http://www.realestateforsaleinohio.com
Anyplace west of the river is pretty nice .What are good neighborhoods to live in the Cleveland, OH area?
Area code 44116 is Rocky River, which is a suburb about 10 miles west of downtown Cleveland. It's a very nice area, right on Lake Erie.
The surrounding suburbs are also very good. Lakewood is between Rocky River and Cleveland. Its an older city with mostly older, classic colonial style homes and also many duplex's and multi-family homes.
Westlake is further west. Its more upscale, with newer homes priced $250,000 and above.
There are many other suburbs around that are very "decent" cities. I am a Realtor for this area, so e-mail me if you'd like more info or listings sent to you (no obligation). Good luck
I like the Hough neighborhood myself. Tremont also is an area I enjoy.
