My husband, my 5 year old daughter and myself will be visiting family in Columbus, Ohio for Christmas this year and we thought a fun day trip might be to visit the Christmas Story House in Cleveland. We realize it could be a long drive for our daughter so we were looking for suggestions for fun or interesting stops we could make along the way to break up the long drive. We love to eat regional food specialties so restaurant suggestions are also welcome.What are some fun pit stops to make when driving from Columbus, Ohio to Cleveland, Ohio?
Grandpa's Cheese Barn and its candy store next door are fun to stop at and about half way. It's off I-71 at Rt. 250 which I think is the Ashland exit. We stop either coming or going each time between Cleveland and Columbus. And they have a Christmas shop all year around, even though you'll be stopping during the holiday season.
