If Lebron really had a great cast why did Cleveland try to entirely rebuild the team?

They got rid of Mo Williams and traded JJ Hickson in the offseason. They are also working on moving Antawn Jamison and Anderson Varejao when the season begins. If all of these guys were good players why didn't Cleveland add to those guys?If Lebron really had a great cast why did Cleveland try to entirely rebuild the team?
He didn't that is why Cleveland chose to get rid of all those guys.
Varejao is a sissy but he is a very good defender and rebounder, he was injured for most of the year'
Mo Williams is a Jason Terry type of player who is a very good pure scorer, Big Z was a very good player before 2009

and their bench was okay

their 2 best players were injured for most of the year, part of the reason of why they lost so many gamesIf Lebron really had a great cast why did Cleveland try to entirely rebuild the team?
The Cavs were built as a supporting cast around their star player, LeBron. They were role players. They won 66 games as a bunch of guys surrounding LeBron and propping him up. After LeBron left, the Cavs went into rebuilding mode, which means trading valuable assets to try and get chance at acquiring another star player.
EXACTLY. It's nice to see some thought-out questions once in a while.
